Beyond Vision's BBQ event and who is Peter Archer

This BBQ was an event held at Link Vision Fairfield Brisbane, demonstrating musicians, home cooked meal samples as well as a raffle.
It's one of the many exciting activities that Beyond Vision can facilitate. We are all inclusive and encourage anyone to come along that wants to have a good time and meet new like minded people.

(Peter) This is not going to be a speech about why my business is better than the next guys everybody has heard that speech before what separates me from my competitors is not my business it's who I am
I am somebody who has lived a shared experience to your own I've experienced loss disconnection all the stages of grief self-doubt, being doubted navigating the NDIS space, and navigating this world as a vision impaired person and as difficult as it may seem I feel like at this point of time I'm in a pretty good place and I think a big reason for that is because of the kind of work that I do I support people to feel completely comfortable in being themselves whilst having fun in the process and that is a healing thing and it is also healing to be a part of.
The NDIS has allowed us to get support for almost every single requirement we have, but there is one thing that we cannot get, we can only receive when opportunity arises. That is the opportunity to connect with another person or group of like-minded people, that is the opportunity to be supported by somebody who has integrity and pretends to be nothing more than what they are.
As your support worker this is the
opportunity that I would like to offer you

(Speaker 1) Yeah and it's been a really great afternoon full of fun and entertainment and people dancing and lots of great music and lots of good humour and me and my dog been like taste testing all the food and it's fantastic she's been a great day out
(Kieran) I think the yeah just yeah the music and the
food and the company and
a bit of dancing and yeah it's been great catching up with everybody
(Speaker 3) Definitely enjoying all of this rock music
but I also liked the tabla
yeah I did my favourite one was the pasta and the eggplant and the mushroom (Speaker 4) Fantastic day he's assisted me for four or five years great guy great chef empathetic, supportive, highly recommend him to anybody to use his services
